I had recently had the pleasure of being the photographer at the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity fundraiser event at Hassop Hall. Very impressive place, in some very impressive surroundings. Too posh for me for sure! I was asked to do potraits of couples and groups as they arrived to the event, with some PR type stuff as the event went on. New Light Meter
I've been after a new light meter for 'yonks'. Then, out of nowhere Sekonic released an Elinchrom compatible version of their L-478 Light Meter. Decided to take the plunge and get one, despite fancying the L-758 from a distance. I'm glad I did - what a fantastic little device this is. Everything I want and need it to be, with the added bonus of not just being able to remotely fire my Elinchrom lights, but to be able to change their output power too - all from the light meter!

British Institute of Photography Awards
Last week, the British Institute of Photography held its annual awards ceremony, held at the County Museum in Aylesbury. I am proud, humbled and somewhat surprised to have won the award for 2015 Best LBIPP Submission. I knew I'd been shortlisted for the award, but I really didn't think I'd actually win it.
